A Lasting Tribute to Scotland’s Declaration of Arbroath

 

The three-dimensional fine art limited edition replica of the Declaration of Arbroath was originally developed and created in 2016, not long after I heard the incredible news that this treasured Scottish document had been officially recognised with a UNESCO Memory of the World award.

As a fine-artist (and tartan designer) born and raised here in Arbroath, that recognition really struck a chord with me, and I felt inspired ...and driven to create something real—a life-size tribute to this remarkable piece of history.

100 Pieces

I set out to produce a limited edition of 100 facsimiles, each one carefully crafted to honour the importance of the original Declaration. Time has moved on—now it’s 2025—and all of these replicas eventually found homes across Scotland, with a handful venturing overseas to places like Singapore, Dubai, Australia, and the US.

The original 100-piece edition is now completely sold out. If you missed out, the Centennial Edition remains available, made to order at 85% scale. Each one features the authentic 3D wax seal replicas, and takes significant time to craft. Given the process involved, I produce them only occasionally, so orders are accepted on a limited basis.

One Hero Piece Left

The original 100 life-size facsimiles are now fully sold, leaving only the Hero edition available in life-size. These are truly rare—just seven of these pieces were made, each featuring cast and hand-painted miniature seals, set in a brass-inlaid frame engraved with the Declaration’s script.
