The official presentation of the Declaration of Scottish Independence Tartan sample to the Scottish Register of Tartans occurred on 22nd September 2015. Joined by fellow Arbroath artist and good friend Jill Henderson, we took time to explore Arthur’s Seat and the Scottish Parliament, marking the day with both cultural and historic significance.

These photographs reflect the importance of that moment—the formal handover of the design to the Register’s custodians.
