The Angel in the Rain – Mini
The Angels’ Share® Mini Umbrella is built around the same pivot design found in the original woven cloth and full‑size companion umbrellas — just scaled down into a compact size you can keep in your bag for those unexpected rainy days.
While working with the tartan, one pivot in the woven cloth wouldn’t quite leave me alone — a quiet, balanced shape tucked inside the sett that kept drawing me back. I couldn’t fully explain it, but it felt somehow alive.
I photographed that exact pivot from the woven fabric, squared it up, and turned it into a repeatable pattern. That small piece of geometry later became the full-size emblem umbrella — built from the same original idea.
This Mini carries the same concept into a more compact canopy, with four angelic pivots overhead set between Angels’ Share tartan. The thought of turning that pivot into an umbrella took hold during a spell of relentless rain here in Scotland in early 2026, when Storm Chandra moved through and the weather refused to settle. It felt right that a tartan born from whisky, oak, and evaporation could offer a welcome measure of shelter — even at this smaller scale, still built around the pivot that started it all.
How the Light Moves – A Smaller Arc
On the Mini, eight alternating panels appears at a more intimate scale. Each emblem panel holds a single angelic symbol, set between sections of bias‑set tartan. Open it overhead and four angelic pivots circle above you, a quiet ring of guardians glowing in the plaid.
Printed on recycled canopy fabric, the gold, white, amber, wood-brown and blue tones shift as the umbrella turns. From underneath, the light comes through softly, with a warm tint.
It’s not a “special occasion” piece — instead it’s a wee, practical umbrella for those “probably rain again” days, and it makes even a grey walk feel a bit brighter.

The Angels’ Share Mini Emblem umbrella comes in two simple options:
Mini Auto Open – Without Cover
A compact push-button umbrella with the emblem canopy, ready to slip into a bag, rucksack, or glove box. Best if you like to travel light and don’t mind it going back in the bag once it’s dry.
Mini Auto Open – With Printed Cover
The same umbrella, with a fitted printed cover. Handy if you’re often packing it away damp alongside books, tech, or anything you’d rather keep dry.
Both options use the same recycled canopy fabric, the same emblem layout, and the same light maple-effect handle.

- Production time: Usually 2–3 working days before dispatch.
- Delivery: Shipped from the UK using tracked services. Delivery speed and cost depend on destination and are calculated at checkout.
- Everyday use: Built for real weather – ideal for daily carry, travel, and typical wet and windy conditions.
- If there’s an issue: Because each piece is made to order, returns work differently than off‑the‑shelf goods. If anything arrives faulty or not right, message me as soon as you can and we’ll sort it promptly in line with the maker’s policy.
Care: Surface wipe only using a mild soapy damp cloth. Let the umbrella dry fully before closing and storing.

The Tartan Behind the Canopy
The Angels’ Share® Tartan was woven as a 16oz Strome‑weight cloth to honour Scotland’s national drink and the quiet loss of spirit during maturation. Within the weave, subtle, almost ethereal shapes began to appear – the “angels in the weave” revealing themselves only once the fabric came to life on the loom.
The Mini Emblem canopy is built directly from that same artwork, taken from the original woven pivot rather than a digital imitation. It’s a smaller way to carry the story – lifted from the kilt and the studio and tucked into a bag, ready for the next passing shower.
