Shipping rates shown on this page are for guidance only and drawn from supplier data (theprintspace, Contrado, DHL, and partner mills).
Prices may change without prior notice as partner tariffs, insurance rates, or courier policies are updated.
For Burnished Gold Editions, the delivery quote is shown at checkout where available. Other products may use the checkout total, delivery included in the product offer, or a separately agreed specialist quote. The charge or calculation method is explained before purchase; additional charges require your agreement.

 

 

Important Notice About Shipping Charges

Burnished Gold Editions: DHL delivery is calculated at checkout where available; any applicable remote-area surcharge is included in the quote. Kilts and woven accessories: a separate delivery invoice may follow final packing where that arrangement and the calculation method have been disclosed and agreed before purchase. A clearly labelled collection option has no delivery charge. Any delivery charge is disclosed and agreed before you commit to it.

Important framed-artwork checkout note: if checkout shows Customer collection from Aizle Framing, Balfron, Customer collection only from Aizle Framing, Balfron, or a similar £0.00 / “FREE” shipping line, this means customer collection by appointment only. It does not mean free delivery. Eligible local/regional postcodes may also be offered Aizle local/regional framed artwork delivery at £49. Other delivery arrangements require a custom quote before dispatch.

DHL checkout quoting is now in use for the Burnished Gold Editions where the destination and service are supported. Other product routes remain separate.

Burnished Gold Editions — DHL Delivery from Arbroath

Our current unframed Declaration of Arbroath editions are printed, numbered, certified and packed in Arbroath in Black Onyx, Pewter and Pearl, in Collector and Life-Size formats.

  • Preparation: allow 5–7 working days from your deposit or full payment, subject to stock availability. DHL transit time is additional.
  • Your delivery price: use the quote for your address, selected service and complete order at checkout. Any applicable DHL remote-area surcharge is included. A rate for one address or one print is not a universal flat price.
  • Multiple prints: the rate relates to the order and its packing requirements; more than one parcel may be needed.
  • Payment: choose full payment or a 25% product deposit where offered. Checkout shows the actual amount due now and the remaining balance, including any delivery and tax amounts. The balance must be paid before dispatch.
  • International delivery: availability depends on the destination and service offered. Destination duties, import taxes and clearance fees are payable by the customer unless expressly collected or included in the checkout or an agreed quote.
  • No rate or a special request: contact us before ordering if a suitable quote is unavailable, if you need delivery to your framer or if timing is essential.

The Aizle collection and £49 specialist framed-artwork arrangements below are a different route and do not apply to these unframed Burnished Gold prints.

 

 

1. Declaration 3D Facsimiles and Legacy Framed Gold Artwork


Specialist Framed Artwork Delivery

Framed Declaration artworks, including Declaration 3D Fine Art Facsimiles and legacy framed Declaration Gold Metallic Print Editions, require specialist handling. Depending on the product, size and destination, checkout may offer local/regional Aizle delivery, collection from Aizle Framing by appointment, or a custom delivery quote arranged before dispatch. Where a framed Declaration artwork is reserved with a deposit or part-payment, the remaining balance and any agreed delivery charge must be paid before the item is released, collected, delivered, dispatched, or fulfilled.


Local / Regional Aizle Framing Delivery

For eligible local and regional postcodes, checkout may show:

This option is available only for approved postcode areas where specialist delivery from Aizle Framing, Balfron is practical. If this option does not appear for your address, contact us to check availability and any alternative quote. A missing rate can have several causes and is not by itself proof that your postcode is outside the delivery area.

This collection option appears at checkout with no shipping charge. Collection must be arranged by appointment after ordering. If checkout shows this option as £0.00 or “FREE”, this means customer collection only from Aizle Framing, Balfron; it does not mean free delivery.


Addresses Outside the Local Delivery Area

If you require delivery and the £49 Aizle delivery option does not appear at checkout, please contact The Tartan Artisan® before ordering. A custom delivery quote may be possible depending on destination, artwork size, insurance requirements, and safe handling arrangements. Any agreed custom delivery, packing, insurance, or courier charge must be paid before dispatch or delivery.


International Enquiries

International shipping for framed Declaration artworks, including Declaration 3D Fine Art Facsimiles and legacy framed Declaration Gold Metallic Print Editions, is not offered automatically at checkout. Overseas customers should contact The Tartan Artisan® before ordering so that suitability, packing risk, courier options, insurance, and costs can be considered individually.

 

 

2. Designer Kilts & Highland Wear


Made to Order – Carefully Presented

  • Each kilt and accessory is individually made to order with careful attention to detail.
  • Orders may include a single kilt, a kilt with matching fly plaid, or multiple items requiring special boxing and packing.
  • Kilts and woven goods use a tracked delivery service, with any additional shipment protection arranged for the relevant order.


Shipping Process

  • Kilt and woven-goods delivery may be invoiced separately where the arrangement and calculation method are agreed before purchase.
  • Where a separate quote is agreed, final packing confirms the parcel weight and dimensions; you receive the delivery invoice for approval and payment before dispatch.
  • Costs are calculated fairly based on final parcel weight, size, insurance value, and destination.

  • UK: usually from around £25+, depending on parcel size, final weight and insurance value.
  • International: often around £50–£60+, depending on parcel size, destination, insured value and courier service.
  • How charged: normally invoiced separately after the order is completed, boxed and weighed.
  • Important: international customers are responsible for any import duties, VAT, customs fees or tariffs charged by their country.

International customers are responsible for all applicable import duties, VAT, or customs fees imposed by their country, which are not included in the prices shown.


Combined Orders

If you order additional made-to-order accessories—such as a fringed or purled & knotted fly plaid—shipping will be combined and invoiced together.


Collection Option

Customers may collect orders by appointment in Arbroath, with no shipping charge.


Tariffs & Duties

For international customers, local import taxes, customs duties, or tariffs may apply upon delivery. These charges are not included in the product price and remain the customer’s responsibility.

 

 

3. Fine Art Prints (Creativehub / theprintspace)

Selected partner-fulfilled fine-art prints, including the Star-Spangled Banner and Angels’ Share prints still listed, are produced and shipped through Print Space Studios Limited (theprintspace / Creativehub). This section does not apply to Burnished Gold, which is printed in Arbroath. Where a product includes delivery, its offer and checkout state that arrangement.

4. Contrado Print-on-Demand Products

Products such as printed scarves, homeware, and apparel are handled by Contrado Imaging Ltd. Shipping is auto-calculated at checkout.

5. General Accessories & Small Items

Smaller products like ties and scarves are shipped separately.

  • Collection: no shipping charge where collection by appointment in Arbroath is appropriate.

 

 

6. Customs, Duties & Taxes

  • Destination import duties, taxes and clearance fees are payable by the customer unless expressly collected at checkout or included in an agreed quote.
  • For Burnished Gold exported from Arbroath, the delivery quote is separate from destination import charges. Other products may be produced within the destination region and use different tax arrangements.
  • Customs processing may delay delivery.

 

 

7. Tracking & Delivery

  • All shipments include tracking info.
  • If delayed or damaged, contact us promptly, preferably within 7 days of delivery for damage. This helps us investigate and does not limit your statutory rights.
  • Ensure your delivery address is accurate.

 

 

8. Sustainability

  • We use recyclable packaging whenever possible.
  • Packaging and environmental specifications vary by product and partner. Burnished Gold uses careful protective wrapping, a recycled-material tube and an outer cardboard box; see the product galleries for the actual presentation.
