TO MY DEAR CUSTOMERS

As you all know these are uncertain times...
and the pandemic has truly been a challenging period for us all.

I wanted you to know that many of my printed tartan products (and some products without tartan, with Scottish inspired designs) are currently being manufactured outside of Scotland. I understand fully this may offend some as a number of my tartans are designed to support & celebrate the ideology of Scottish independence. Making the decision to manufacture and sell printed tartan items (and some related goods) made outside of Scotland (in the UK) was a difficult one for me. However, the tartan industry, and many Scottish manufacturers I normally use, have been hit a fair degree by the economic crisis. If I can't find a Scottish supplier for a particular product I need to go elsewhere.

Thus being able to make available goods PRINTED with my designs has supported (and continues to support) my wee Scottish business during this difficult period. The hardest part is not hand making every item myself, for that personal touch. However I only choose a product after much sampling and consideration, and I thereafter trust that my manufacturer will fulfil the delivery of the goods as I expect. As such some items will be delivered with a UK returns address not in Scotland, and some items are labeled Made in England.

I wanted to make you - as my dear and loyal customer - understand with full transparency many of my printed goods are outsourced so you can make an informed buying decision. If you choose to make a purchase I very much appreciate that ...as your order will for sure help support and sustain my Scottish based business.

Finally, my long term goals is to WEAVE all my tartan designs, and make my portfolio available in Scotland as true authentic tartans ...the printed aspect of my business is part of my plan to support me in achieving that longer term goal as a Scottish based business.
